2010 Run Ego

The Danish quintet MEN AMONG ANIMALS will release their sophomore album RUN EGO in March 2010.
Most of their recordings were done by themselves in a wooden cabin somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Denmark during the summer of 2009. Afterwards they joined forces with Quentin Stoltzfus - founder of the critically acclaimed band MAZARIN - and together they have now finished what MEN AMONG ANIMALS consider their masterpiece.  
After the release of their debut in autumn 2007 MEN AMONG ANIMALS toured from the most southern part of Europe to the most northern. They've played Spain, Norway, England, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, and Denmark. They also played several festivals including Reeperbahn in Germany, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, By:Larm in Norway and many more. 
They have received top reviews for their live performances. In summer 2009 the band played at Roskilde Festival where they again received excellent response from the festival press. 
Men Among Animals is on a constant search for new paths in music and they will never stay in the same place for long. They had a great deal of success with their happy tunes from the debut “Bad Times, All Gone”, but now they are up to something completely different.
If BAD TIMES, ALL GONE was day, then RUN EGO is night.

Die Dänische Band MEN AMONG ANIMALS veröffentlicht im März 2010 ihr zweites Album RUN EGO bei Tapete Records.
Die Songs zum Album wurden von der Band während des Sommers 2009 in einer gruseligen, leicht vermoderten Holzhütte in der dänischen Provinz aufgenommen. Hierhin hatte sich die Band schon zum Songschreiben zurückgezogen, nachdem Gitarrist und Sprachrohr der Band, Bo Christensen, leicht lediert von einer längeren Indienreise zurückgekehrt war (was man auf der Platte unverkennbar hört). Später kam dann Quentin Stoltzfus - Gründer der Band MAZARIN – hinzu, um zusammen das - von der Band selbst als ‘unser Meisterwerk’ betiteltes - Werk zu vollenden.
Nach der Veröffentlichung des Debüt-Albums BAD TIMES, ALL GONE im Jahre 2007 sind MEN AMONG ANIMALS durch einen Großteil Europas getourt (Spanien, Norwegen, Holland, Belgien, Dänemark, Deutschland, die Schweiz und England) und erspielten sich den Ruf als erstklassige Live Band. Dass dieser Ruf nicht ungehört blieb, bewiesen die gefeierten Auftritte auf wichtigen Festivals wie dem Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg, dem Roskilde Festival in Dänemark, dem  By:Larm in Norwegen und vielen anderen mehr.
MEN AMONG ANIMALS sind auf der ständigen Suche nach neuen Wegen in ihrer Musik und bleiben kreativ gesehen niemals lange auf einem Fleck. War ihr Debüt-Album BAD TIMES, ALL GONE Tag, ist RUN EGO definitiv dunkle, sternenklare Nacht.
